Hello all! My boyfriend and I just recently got our first veiled cham. We have done our research but we just want to check in to see if we have everything right.

Temp: 75-80 degrees f. in the habitat with ability to go up to basking spot at higher temp.

Humidity: keeping between 40-60

we have fake plants, food bowl, branch.

we have an automatic mister.
we have a little dripper for drinking.
We have basking light 40w
We have UVB reptisun 5.0

we have been feeding him small crickets and meal worms.

Here are some pictures and I am looking for recommendations to help this guy live his happiest life.

Drop the mealworms, and is the uvb linear? What are you gutloading with and how many crickets?

Try feeding ten crickets and get rid of the orange cubes, and instead feed with carrots, greens, and other vegetables, or use repashy bug burger or cricket crack.

Oops, sorry. Thought it said the orange cubes, the fluker's ones. Keep using oranges.

Welcome to the forum!

Eventually you will want to get real plants... non toxic well washed both sides of the leaves since wailed chameleons tend to munch on vegetation.

What supplements are you using and how often for each? Please tell the brand and whether they have D3 or vitamin A (beta carotene, retinol, retinyl, retinal, etc) in them.

A dripper made from a deli cup with a small hole in the bottom it so it drips at the rate of one or two drips per second would be good too.

Your Cham is not a bird ?. So I would get rid of the ladder. Idk why people do this in the first place?‍♂️

I don't think the ladder is so bad, but the chams viv needs branches and vines vertical & horizontal to climb on, if the ladder is in with all that, should be ok

We got him 2 days ago and we live in a small town. Still trying to find branches.
You can go out after someone trimmed their trees or something like that, and use those branches once they put them out for the trash. I got some really pretty ones from my neighbors.

Sometimes he turns greyish when he’s in his habitat but we have read so many different things that this could mean. Is it okay for him to sometimes go this color?

If he’s under his basking light while he’s doing it, he’s probably turning darker to absorb more heat
