New cham!!!!

Got this new veilded a couple days ago. im super excited! he's still quite timid, and runs away from me.
any suggestions for names?

im not sure how to make these smaller. sorry.

also, is it normal for these guys to be super timid and show darker colours for the first few days in his new enclosure?

Congrats on him; he's nice! It is not uncommon for them to take awhile to get used to things, and to wear darker colors for awhile; his sleeping colors are nice. If that's a styrofoam backing in his cage, you might think about removing it; I've seen crickets disappear behind them, and people have reported crix eating on it, and the chams in turn ingesting the styrofoam via the crickets.

He's a cute little guy! He should adjust in a few days, but if the colors persist you should evaluate your husbandry and what not: temp, humidity, etc.

thanks for the tip! i will do this next time i clean the cage - dont want to disturb him further. till then i will hand-feed

i have a wild caught that has never let me see his true colors but once he stays brown until night time. Seems like he hasnt had much people relationships. Does he try to bite when you try to get him out of his cage.

doesnt bite, no, but i havent really taken him out of the cage much as i havent had him long. when i purchased him, i met the breeder and the cham had some very nice colours and was very friendly in the stores enclosure. he wasnt shy at all then. i cant wait till he becomes less timid
