New Chameleon Tree From Canvas Chameleons

My chameleons receive a Nearly Natural tree from Canvas Chameleons. It's a gorgeous Dogwood tree. It will go in one of my inside free ranges but we've got to figure out which one. :) My husband had the tree outside to add a couple vines for better grip, as he does to all of their trees and a couple of the boys had to try it out. :D Nick, we absolutely love the tree and I can't believe how fast it arrived. It took like one day. ;) Once we decide on a free range I'll post some more pictures.

Up first is Sage giving it a try

Thank you Lauren. It is really a gorgeous tree. I think I have to put it in one of my livingroom free ranges. I'm sure your guys would love one. :)

Awesome!!!

Nathan, it really is a beautiful tree. Thank you!

Beautiful! I'm so happy to see this post because I recently saw a dogwood and thought it would be so pretty in a chameleon cage but wasn't sure it was ok for them!

oh wow! I see a purchase in my future! amazing!

Thank you Julia. Canvas Chameleon has some really nice looking trees. :)

Wow, beautiful! Looks great next to the pool. :)

Thank you Anne for the kind words. This is not an outside tree but Canvas Chameleon did have a few trees for outside.

Thank you Codi. This tree isn't really but it looks it. ;) I'm not sure if the live dogwoods are chameleon safe or not. Would have to check the safe plant list.

free range

I am reading and learning so very much here!! when your Cham is free ranging do they ever get off the tree and walk on the ground> I am fearful that I would lose my girl if I ever left the room for a minute. She sits on the same branch in her habitat most of the time... so I see where they might enjoy climbing around a dog wood tree etc. I am just a big chicken about this... And I have dogs... so don't need a cham on the ground LOL

Welcome to the forums. You have come to the right place to learn about chameleons. To answer you question, yes my chams do sometimes get down off their trees and wonder around or go over to another free range. Since you have dogs you would need a room that you could have a free range in and keep the door closed when your dogs are inside. You also have to be very careful when you open the door because your chameleon could be right behind the door.

Jann- quick question! I know that some of my Chams have tried to eat leaves/flowers from some plants.

Do you have any concerns that a Cham may tug on one of these flowers and consume it?

Yes Max, I worry about everything. This is not a full time tree but I do use other silk trees without flowers inside and so far no problems. I'm keeping this tree in the main room of my house that I spend the most time in and the couple hours that one of the chams is hangout on the tree I'm keeping a close eye on them and so far no one had showed any interest. My guys spend allot of time outside except in the mid afternoon when it's just to hot and I have all live plants outside.
