Hi all!

I've purchased a 1.5yr male panther cham. Whom I have some concerns and worries for...

Ive had him for 16 or so hours. He has had an appetite and drank water, even slept like a stump last night :)

Where I'm concerned is, his colouring and then upon closer inspection this morning. "White markings" on his head and spine areas...

He displayed vibrant blues and greens yesterday, although today more browns and blue/greens. Are the darker tones from basking? Also and most importantly the white on him?

Does he look healthy all?

Thanks Everyone,

It could be him getting ready to shed, you could try to give him a mist with some slightly warm water to help him out. Do not mist him directly in the face, mist from above like rain.

Just a shed coming you think? Great that puts my mind at ease. Thanks Anniel :)

I agree with shed. He looks fine, it may just take him a couple weeks to get comfortable to his new environment. Then his vibrant colors should return.

I agree, looks like he's going to shed. Extra misting helps the process. And yes, they hate it in the face. Make like a rain cloud and mist from above.
