New female Juvenile

Posted this on "chameleon food" thread - but thought maybe get more advice here.

Hi - I spoke to many of you last week about my ailing veiled - we took her to the vet, was told to syringe feed her carnivore care and calci-liquid. She was given a injection of fluids, but she still didn't make it. We are trying again, and have ordered a juvenile female from FLChams, Vanessa had been purchased at PetCo. FLCHams said they keep basking spot at 90 and have only fed her crickets. When can I introduce worms. I received a fresh order from Josh's frogs the day after Vanessa died. Horned worms, Dubais and phoenix worms. I am assuming these will all be too big for her. We're planning on dusting with D3 twice a month, multivitamin twice a month and everyday with calcium. Swapped out mos of the plastic leaves for a pothos, she'll have a ficus tree too. Screen cage 18x18x36, mistking, reptisun 5.0 and a 60 watt grow light for basking. 12/12 - Going to add a dripper. No substrate Will post her pic when she arrives Thursday.

Does this sound right to everyone?

Sounds like you have everything spot on. Make sure the cage is setup a few days before her arrival and test run all the components to make sure its all working and temps are where they need to be. What is her approx. age? 90*F basking temp would be suitable for adults, juvies I would aim for around 85*.

She arrives Thursday from FLChams - they say 3-5 months (juvenile they claim) -she is basking with them at 90 - cage is all set - but may have to move perch. I figure I'll follow their dusting recommendations: "Veiled Chameleons require proper calcium and vitamins included in their diet for long term success. It is important to supplement your veiled chameleons with calcium and vitamins to help promote proper growth and overall health. This is very important in the early stages of your baby veiled chameleons growth and also for your egg bearing female veiled chameleons as they produce eggs. For baby and juvenile veiled chameleons I would dust your crickets with Calcium 3 times a week and with a Vitamin once a week or even every other week. Adults require a lesser supplementation schedule. I would dust with calcium twice a week with a vitamin once a week. (Note: If you’re using artificial UVB you need to dust your feeders with Calcium with Vitamin D3 and if you’re keeping your veiled chameleon outside in natural sunlight use Calcium without D3). It’s also very important to provide your cricket with nutritious food such as collard greens, mustard greens, squash, orange and/ or commercial cricket diets." Someone else said to scrap this and just use sticky tongue. Any suggestions as to when I can introduce worms and Dubai?
