New heat bulb

Recently bulb went out so I bought a new one is this a good one just checking… the temps I reach with it are 82 basking 76-79 ambient

It’s okay the person at the reptile store (he’s been keeping chameleons for a while and tried his best to get the chameleons a good home and have a good setup) recommended this one since the one I was going with wasn’t there

Assuming we are only creating heat it is fine. I have used similar types. As long as the specks check out.
As for reliable I can’t say sorry

It seems really good…. It gets right temps and looks good brand soooo…

I have used them and have had no issues.

They're fine. I feel they are just way more expensive. You could use a incandescent light bulb & get the same outcome for alot less of the price.
But that aside , its a really good brand & just a heating light so should be perfect!

Just a halogen bulb. Should be fine. Double check temps at basking with a wired probe to ensure they are not too hot.

The only question I have is whether it's a flood or a spot. Floods produce gradients; spots can produce hot spots.

Dimmable is great.
