I thought I should introduce myself to you all seen as I have already posted a couple of times today.

I'm Peter and come from Cheshire in the UK. I have been keeping and breeding various Tortoise species for a few years now. Last year I ventured further into the world of Reptiles and took on a little male Bearded Dragon.

I've always had an interest in Chameleons, paticularly the Pygmy species and have decided I am ready to look into keeping them.

Hi Peter! I am also in the UK and would like to say a big 'Welcome' to CF! This forum gets VERY addictive! There are so many kind people on here - I have made friends from all over the world by being part of this online community! I have a female Veiled cham called Amy!:D

I'd like a red foot tortoise. I saw loads on holiday in Barbados, one of the more friendly tortoises.
I live in Essex and own a pink panther (Ankaramy) called Oliver :)

Peter welcome. I have just gotten into pgymys lately myself. I bought 2 pair but lost one of the 4. I think I have 1 male and 2 females, but I am not sure.

I also keep beardies and have for many years. I am down to 8 beardies and 15 chameleons at this time.

This is an excellent forum for learning, so welcome again and ask all the questions you want. You can also PM me if you have bearded dragon questions.

Thank you all for the very warm welcome :D Apologies in advance if I get any names wrong or don't reply directly to any questions on this thread!

Tortoises are indeed very popular here in the UK, there are literally thousands of keepers. At the moment I am keeping T.h.hercegovinensis (Hermanns), T.horsfieldii (Horsfields), T.g.graeca (Morrocans), T.g.ibera, T.g.naublensis (Tunisians), M.torneri (Pancakes) and K.belliana (Bells Hingebacks). I will add some pics once I have settled in :)

I am currently breeding the T.g.ibera and T.g.graeca. I have also had infertile eggs from the T.h.hercegovinensis and for the first time this year eggs from both the K.belliana and the T.horsfieldii. My other groups are too young to breed at present.

I'm sorry for ther essay, once I get going on tortoises there is usually no stopping me

Looking forward to getting to know you all and especially interested to hear from people keeping Pygmy Chams and any advice they have!

Thanks,

I don't just own a chameleon I also own:-

1 28 year old red eared terrapin
1 10 year old bearded dragon
3 leopard geckos
3 fire-bellied toads
