We are very excited to be new chameleon parents but as first time parents we are worried about him not eating the past 3 days. Is this normal after moving them? I knew that he wasnt being hydrated properly at the reptile shop where we got him (see above) so we moved up our schedule so we could get him home sooner. Hopefully our misting system will get him hydrated, I have seen him drinking a couple times already. So far Mr. Pickles has been very a very chill guy (doesn't mind us cleaning cage or putting bugs in and didn't mind us handling him at all when we got him home). He has been actively exploring his new home after basking for about an hour every morning. Does everything else about our care check out? Will post a picture in a minute!

It is common for chameleons to not eat or drink several days after they get moved in due to stress. Just keep feeding and he will eventually eat.

Thank you the reassurance and the fast reply! I actually just saw him eat a cricket like 2 seconds ago so now I can relax a little lol

He should start eating soon. It is not uncommon for them not to eat right away. Some do immediately though. Your set up seems good for what you described. It is always a good idea to post a picture of your set up so we can make sure everything is set up properly.
