So far I have got the below items ,I want some magnetic ledges and plant holders but im from the uk and cant find any ,anyone have any idea where i can get some ?
The thermostat is a separate night and day dimming , which bulb is best that doesn't give out any light as i dont want to frighten him at night ? Will the d3+ 24w t5 be enough light for the daytime ?
Whats the best way to clean out the reptibreeze vivs ?
Can you see anything that's missing , apart from food and supplements ?

Hi Darren, welcome to the forum.

I am in the UK too and have an XL Reptibreeze. What do you need magnetic ledges for? Am curious!

Keeping humidity levels up when you live in the UK using a large Retibreeze can be a challenge, so mine is lined on three walls with bubble wrap, this stops my walls getting soaked when I spray and also stops the humidity in my cages dropping to below 60%.

As far as your thermostat goes, everything should just be turned off at night - unless the temp in your house drops to below about 60 degrees, or even a little lower, then you don't need any heat in your cage at all. There should certainly be no light at all at night, so if your house is cold during the winter, then you need a ceramic bulb at night which just gives out heat and no light, they need complete darkness to rest.

Your Arcadia T5 UVB is a good choice, I have one of these, with a reflector. I also have a clamp lamp but mine is large - I am not sure whether a small one is going to be large enough to provide a decent basking spot for your chameleon, but you could always get another one - I have two basking spots in opposite corners of my cage, one slightly hotter than the other, so he can choose which one he wants.

I have attached a photo of my set up to give you some idea.

Unfortunately I can't advise you on your plants apart from the umbrella and ficus, I know that these are safe, but someone more knowledgeable than me will no doubt be along in a minute to ensure that you aren't putting anything poisonous in there!

As far as cleaning your cage, I have paper towels on the floor of mine and I replace these twice a day - they catch leaves, droppings and water etc. and keep the floor clean.

You don't mention a dripper system - I think these are pretty vital to be honest, unless you are going to be around to mist at least three times a day. Zoo Med's Big Dripper is brilliant and I have one in both my cages.

If there is anything else I can help with, please ask.

Lovely chameleon, by the way!

Hi mate thanks for the input, 3 times a day misting is no issue for me. My reptibreeze hasn't been sent yet some of could cancel it if you think there is a better option? I just fancied something magnetic ledhes/plant holder that is saw on some you tube videos lol

To be honest I would still have a dripper, as it means that your chameleon can get a drink whenever it wants, rather than having to rely on misting time.

I can highly recommend the Reptibreeze - its an excellent cage and my adult male Veiled is absolutely thriving in there.

Shouldn't the viv dry out between misting ? How will it dry out with it dripping all day?
