My wife and I just got 2 small chameleons from a local guy who had too many. We are first timers and with the help of the previous owner and research we hope to be doing the right things.
Our only concerns have been both chams turn dark whenever we mist or get too close to them while cage is open.. Here is a few pics.

Baby Cham- 3" long in glass tank 78f 55% humidity feeding fruit flies.

nothing to worry about mate, there only stressed from being somewhere new, just for the next few days only go near them to water and feed them.

With aging their colors will come in and they usually go through a white colored faze too. :) it's really amazing to watch how much they can change within just a few short months

Finally this morning both chams where eating, also the baby went back to it's normal color after being dark for 2 consecutive days.

Babies are just too cute! It still amazes me they come out of the eggs and are ready to go. Yours are both sweet, enjoy.

The bigger one is a grumpy little thing, he hates when i go near his cage, he tries to hide behind the leaves and moves his body away from my hand. The little baby one seems not to be afraid and walks on to my hand but since he's been getting dark i have left him alone in peace.

I am a bit concerned about the bigger ones color, he is now constantly has the same darker colors exept when he goes to sleep, just wanted to make sure his was normal?

Also my smaller one is always puffing up and no longer turns black. Is this normal?
