Hi me & my boy got a ambilobe female panther chameleon on Tuesday which we are really happy about. I did loads of research before buying her.
On the second day I see her try about 4-5 times to catch her dinner " medium crickets" but missed every time. So I rang the reptile shop I got her from. He said to try cup feeding. So I put a empty tub in her vivarium. She ate a few out of it yesterday " I didn't see her do it " but when I got home from work 2nite she hadn't eaten any of her breakfast?? Do u think she might still be settling in as ive only had her 4 days?

I'm sure more advanced owners will reply to you, but just wanted to say that my little guy was kinda slow on eating in the beginning and I was freaking out too, but he was just settling in. In the beginning everything was worrisome to me even though I had researched a ton, but the ppl here were very kind and put my mind at ease :) I'm sure she will eat more as she gets more comfy!

I think she will, she's been toilet twice. Which both had nice white tips to them so I know she hydrated enough! I have a dripper going during the day when we are at work. Which run down the leaves. & lots of different height branches for her. Different basking spots. I can't seem to upload a pic

yes posting a pic is tricky, I'm not sure but maybe you have to be a member for awhile first. I can't remember if that is true o_O

How long does it normally take the little ones to settle in I've been told about a week, just don't want her going hungry

It could be a week or up to a few. I just got my Veiled cham 2 weeks ago and he is still settling in to the routine.

If you are putting the feeder cup at the bottom of the enclosure, try moving it up into the vines. My little guy practically runs to the cup when I put it in now. I also let a few feeder roaches or crickets free in the cage so he can hunt on his own.

I've got a cup set up in there hanging of a vine 1/4 of the way down from the top, & I've been just dropping about 5-9 in there in the morning & the same early evening
