Newbie plant help

Hi

I haven't yet got my chameleon but doing as much research as I can before I do, I have my enclosure and I was wondering what the pros and cons are to live and plastic plants, and do I need my enclosure set up for a certain period of time before I put my baby in?

Hi and welcome! You don't have to have your cage sit any period of time before getting your chameleon. They are not like fish! lol Anyways, live plants are best as they help maintain humidity and they might be eaten by your chameleon also. Eating plastic would not be a good thing, but you also have to make sure that your plants are not toxic to chameleons.
