newbie with 2 questions

I just got 2 veiled chams today, and was wondering 2 things.

1. Do I leave the basking light on all night?

2. One of them seemed to spend the entire day hanging upside down from the top screen, is this ok/normal?

They are both females (at least that's what the lady said) and they are about 3 - 4 months old, if that makes any difference.
