Hi all! This is Tati, I’m Liam. I’ve taken care of reptiles before but never chams. How does my set up look? The top area is with the hammock is heat and gets to 75F ish, its a UVB and heat bulb. The bottom stays around 70F ish. I spray 3x a day on the leaf structure to the right. The tape on the left side is on the outside, those leaves feel very synthetic and I didn’t want them in the habitat. Although its very confusing to her and I feel bad. Let me know what you think! Thank you!

Right off the bat,

Cage is too small.

Chameleons dont drink standing water, so the water bowl is uneeded and problematic.

Basking temp is 75? Thats not even close to high enough.

What type of UVB light do you have? Can you post pictures of it?

Needs way more plants, needs real plants.

How are you misting his enclosure?

food bowl should be up higher.

What chameleon do ya got? Right off the bat I'd say you need more plants, the chameleon is gonna want to hide behind leaves or vines most of the time. People usually prefer real ones because its easier to keep a high humidity with em, also if you have a chameleon that munches on leaves then you might run into the issue of your chameleon eating plastic leaves. So usage of fake plants kind of depends on your chameleon, but in general real plants are way better. It's funny saying that though because my boy prefers being in the only fake plant i have in his cage over the real ones lol. He goes into the middle of a vine I have and sleeps in it, sometimes even upside down, he's a weirdo haha.
