is night time temps for a panther chameleon around 60 to 65 fine ?
Dont make the mistake i made when i first got my cham. My cham didnt sleep so i asked for help. Long story short dont use a night light. A drop in temp and darkness is beneficial as they drop in temp slows down the endothermic animals metabolism and it slows down the animal its self.the darkness makes them sleep because they dont see light and they realise its night time.ive read that you don’t need a night light I personally do. Chameleons can see red light as they have the cone to be able to see red unlike other reptiles.they also sense the light with their so called 3rd eye
If your chameleon still sleeps with it on you should be fine if not cover the snake cage or move the chameleon.I have a question in the room i have my chameleon, at night his set up goes dark. but in front of his cage across the room i have a red heat bulb on at night for my ball python. do you think this affects his sleeping ? i have gone in there at night and i see him sleeping even with the red light in the room, its not super bright but yes it can be seen since the whole room is dark but that one light, you think this is bad for him ?

What type of snake do you have(species, morph)etc
Yeah thats also a good idea. Or you can put in a tight fitting side panel made out of flat pvc and just push it into the frame over the mesh.it will keep humidity up if you need it too.You can cover the side of his cage that faces the light with a towel or a cloth at night.

As long as there is open screen it should be fine.well i have half of his tank covered with plastic for humidity , i dont know if i would want to cover the other front part at nights. wouldnt it be bad less air flow ?

What morph of ball python do you have.
Any any chocolate spiders coming in??I have a spider ball python, and a normal chocolate ball python, in separate tanks
The fabric or towel will breath enough if only on one side.

If you do breed i would love to see the outcomes.
