Hi all, 14 month old Panther. Green body but no blue in bars. Sold as blue bar. Will he get blue now or not? or will i have a green body black bar chameleon. I understood that he would get color by now. Each shed no change to color. Very disappointed that there is no blue.

Can you post a picture?

Get us picture. If they are black he may be stressed, or there may be an underlying issue.

It is possible for babies to be different colors than their parents.

Is he showing any reds? Generally you should see some colors by that age, but not always from what I've seen. Didn't I see some pics of him with blue bars a few months back?

I really recommend people pay the extra and get from reputable breeders if you want to get a quality chameleon. So many people you see here getting sold the wrong genders, locales, too young, etc. Maybe you did this and are just unlucky? but I can't imagine getting from one of the sponsors here, like the kammers, and ending up disappointed.

Hi from reputable supplier but aware i hadnt seen parents. In the sun he gets a pale blue on bars. However i thought that the blue would be bright and significant as a normal state. I have seen hints of blue only about three times in 14 months. he does have red under chin. pictures i see of blue bars is that some of their scales within the black bar go bright blue or the whole bar is blue. 99% of the time they are black with no sign of blue dots coming in after sheds. May be he is mixed. if stressed goes quite a bright yellow but then with jet black bars. This is his 99% of the time colouration
