No poop, food going in, but not coming out...

So Hope, my jackson MBD rescue is doing better in the bone department, she's got a lot more energy and strength, moving around her enclosure like crazy and falling hasn't happened in a long long time. However, her ability to eat has declined. She no longer has an appetite by herself and I have tried all sorts of feeders, need to get hornworms to try, but anyway, she doesn't even look at stuff right now. I think it's because eating is so much work for her that she just doesn't even want to try. Most feeders can crawl out of her mouth at the moment, her jaw is so soft. So I've been hand-feeding her CC Carnivore. Got it from my vet. The issue is, she hasn't pooped in what must be like a week >.< or possibly more. I know she's been thirsty, apparently the mistings have not been long enough on my automatic mister to stimulate her to drink. I have been hand-misting to supplement and adjusted the automatic mister to go off for 4 minutes at a time.

Do you guys have any advice? I am taking her in for a check up appointment on Monday or Tuesday.

When syringe feeding food, the mixture usually has a lot more moisture than their normal diet would, so they'll be getting more fluids and not wanting to drink as much. Something to keep in mind and run past the vet. :) Not sure about the pooping thing. Hopefully he'll have an answer!

Try really small food. Quarter-inch crickets, small silk worms. If her jaw is that soft, her prognosis is not good.

If her jaw is that soft she likely still has MBD...and that can also affect the bowels and other muscles.

Trying to edit my post for 10 minutes....so frustrating.....it won't let me so... I'm doing a new post.
What have you been doing to correct the MBD?

She's on liquid calcium which I give to her three times a week, she originally got a D3 shot too to boost the recovery. I have been doing regular powdering of D3 and Herptivite like a normal Jackson should get. She is getting better, and her jaw isn't like it has lost it's form or anything. If they are soft feeders she can eat them. The issue is that right now she won't even look at normal insects. Though lately her tongue reflexes are getting stronger and more... focuses than they have been since I got her. Her swallowing actions are more normal and less like she's struggling. She was getting black soldier fly larvae when she was eating solid foods.

I love Jacksons Chams! I had a Male that was almost 8 when he died of old age.
But their eating habits unfortunately can be tricky sometimes and they can be really stubborn about what they eat and can get bored of their food.
What other insects have you tried. Hornworms and silk worms are a great feeder to get them excited about their food again, Anythig that flys such as
Blue Bottle flies or moths. Also., just food for thought...jacksons are very prone to vitamin A deficiency which is known to cause tongue issues.

I've been avoiding any flying insects because I don't think she'd be able to hunt it well. I am getting some hornworms with my next paycheck.
