Normal Showering Habits?

So I took sobe his first shower today. I mist him 3x a day and have a little water setup for him , but I have never seen him drink. So today I put his cage under the shower.. This is wat he did

He turned bright yellow/green and kept his eyes closed
He took a deep breath in the middle of it
He then hung upside down from the cage and like put his face against the top of the screen
He seemed a bit disoriented, I guess it was from the water drippin all over the place

Just want to make sure that this is all normal, since this is my first experience with giving him a bath.

Sobe is almost 4 months old and he went through his first shed in the 2 months I've had him, 2 days ago

xoxo thanx for ur input

He may have just freaked because it is his first time.
Igor always brightens up during a shower.

I would do it again, but this time take him out of the cage.
-good luck

Well I actually got the idea from this site. I never heard of it before, but I don't have an auto mister and havent been able to hang my dripper, so i mist him 3x a day. I thought a shower would be good for him. Correct me if Im wrong plz, Im here to learn.

I havn't showered my panthers or my veiled, but my jacksons love it. They turn light in color & drink away for the whole time they are in there. I started this with them b/c they were severly dehydrated when I got them, and I didn't feel like misting for several minutes was doing them any good. I've kept up the showering b/c they seem to really enjoy it, though now they are well-hydrated & happy. I hand-mist all my other chams with 1-2gal of water each. They are not as fond of misting, so I don't plan on showering them...
Your little guy seems to be enjoying it, if I'm reading the pics correctly. Showering is not necessary unless they are really dehydrated. If you notice him freaking out, then I would stick to hand-misting. Generally they both take about the same effort & time investment, so if your cham is more comfortable with hand-misting, there's no need to change a good thing.
