Not shedding probably

Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - Male, Ambilobe,I have had him since Sept. 2013
Handling - He is handled every day
Feeding - two or three worms per day ( variety of phoenix, silk, horned, super, wax, butter) and 6 - 8 crickets per day
Supplements - multi vitamin, calcium with d3( twice per month)
- calcium without d3 ( every day)
Watering - Large dripper that is filled half way every morning. misted in the morning and later in the afternoon. He drinks lots.
Fecal Description -Normal poop, white then brown. Not been tested for parasites



Cage Info:

Cage Type - Reptibreeze 2 X 2 X 4
Lighting - Arcadia 6%, florescent tub and 60 watt heat bulb. Lighting is on from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm
Temperature - Basking spot 86 degrees, lower is in the 70's
Humidity - in the 40 - 50 after misting, and low 20 and teens if no misting
Plants - Ficus tree
Placement - Not near any vents or windows
Location - Southern Ontario


Current Problem - not shedding on his spine, also he has gotten some black spots on his side and the shedding is not coming off that either. I have also tried the shower for the past two weekends, and this has not helped. Any suggestions ?

50 is LOW for misting. Usually when I mist, the humidity goes up to at least 75%

Try misting with WARM water for around 2-3 minutes at a time. That may help.
 
Yepper, work on getting the humidity up consistently. In the meantime a warm misting shower session could help w/ the shed issues. There are a bunch of threads that discuss the jungle gym in the shower w/ the warm water spraying on the wall of the shower method.

Ooops just had to edit my original. Didn't read your part about the shower method. yikes.
