hey guys im new to the forums and new to chameleons..
i have a few questions i hope you could help me with.
I recently bought a baby veild chameleon and its roughly around 2 months old now. iv found out that it is female and i was wondering about its breeding :/. i read something on the internet saying that if they doesn't bread with a male they could die? i have no idea if this is true or not as i am new to these wonderful reptiles. but that made me worry because i would hate for her to die :(. is this true? other than that iv read up on how to look after her once she is old enough to lay her eggs etc, but i'd just hate for her to pass away because i didnt want to mate her :/

Thankyou in advance

That is absolutely NOT true. They can however lay infertile eggs just like a chicken, without a male even being around so by the age of 5 months you will want to provide her with a laying bin at all times. I'm attaching a couple of my blogs for you below. The first is about general care and the second is about egg laying and the laying bin.
