I teach lessons on a variety of different reptiles as part of my course for learners of foreign language, the herp lessons are interesting and break-up the slog of grammar. Anyway, whilst preparing a lesson on chameleons and hunting for a decent video exemplifying different colour change I came across this beauty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9ecX8PRPSw

Can anyone identify what variety of panther this is? I think it's a Nosy Be panther, but I'm not certain.
 
Anyone? I'm mainly asking because I'll be attending a reptile show this weekend and I've been seriously considering purchasing a panther.
 
Thats an ambilobe. Nosy be are mostly blue with sometimes shades of green or other shades of blue. The green is not as pronounced as the ambilobe in the video.
 
Also that video is not at normal speed, that cham is moving wayyyy to fast. i also agree it is a ambilobe.

Yes that's an Ambilobe, His name was Preston. He had the most dramatic color change going from green to yellow was a perfect subject for the video.



and yes the video is sped up 10x the normal speed. Normal speed was kind of boring
