So i have a 4-5 month female veild that i have had for about two months. She was starting to hang out at the bottom of her cage so i put a sand box in there just in case she was looking for some where to dig. It seemed to keep her happy she never went in it or really had anything to do with it. Well i started noticing her poops are HUGE i have a 7 mnth old male veild and hers were about the size of his. So i took one of poops and smushed it well it was filled with sand. Her crickets are cup fed so its not like they coukd be from that. So i took her sand box out this mroning. Well now she is walkig around her cage with her anger colors showing. And walking on the bottom of her cage.

I dont know what to do, i can leave it in there and have her keep eating sand but i dont want to leave it out cause now shes mad. Pease someone help!!!!!

If the sand was washed and still clean it should be no problem - unless the sand eating is constant. I think you should put the bin back unless you want to use a big laying bin that you leave her in all day when she starts to prowl and looks to lay. You have to keep extra close watch if you do not leave the sand box.
Also, maybe you could try a box of compost instead of sand, though it would be worse if she eats compost......
I think leave it but keep an eye on the stools and hope she eats less in future. If she is getting enough food then she might just be being greedy and checking if its worth eating, and will not bother much in future.

Imo you're only going to have a problem if she can't pass it, but if she's having no problem and she's pooping out the sand then you should be fine. I've read a couple times on here that peoples females eat the sand in the laying bin. Is she gravid and off food? Being at the bottom of the cages makes me think she was probably looking for somewhere to lay.

My question lies with the age... If she is that young I don't think she would be digging already but thats just me... Can you post a pic of her to see if the age is right and possibly someone on here can tell you if indeed she IS gravid and holding eggs... That would help a lot... also filling this out (https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/) will give us a better insight into your husbandry

All of her temps are right, and her humidity and everything is right where it shoukd be according to the site.

Her sand is washed sand, and she has no rpoblem pooping it out, she is still all tne exact same as she was. But as soon as i take the sand out she gets mad, and turns all black and yellow.

She doesnt have eggs because she has had the sand for about 3 weeks and she does t even really go near it, and she is not getting fatter or anything. Nothing has changed she just likes her box in there. I was worried with her eating the sand i thout it might conspipate her or harm her in some way.
