Nutritional Value of Pothos

So I've been making sure to feed my girl regularly: 5-6 large crickets a day, or an equivalent amount of worms in a cup (She's a 5-6 month old veiled). Lately I've noticed bite marks in the golden pothos at the bottom of her enclosure. I know that it's not harmful for them to eat veggies, but I was wondering if they get any actual value from eating the pothos leaves. Does her eating the plant mean that I'm not providing enough food, or not providing enough variety? I'm afraid to give her some of the bigger worm varieties (super/horn), so I'm not sure how to give her more food types than I already am without spending crazy money on insects. Any tips for a semi-new owner?

Your girl is at the age where you should start cutting back on her food unless she is very underweight, to help prevent the production of eggs. Do you have a laying bin in her enclosure? She is also at the age to keep one in her enclosure at all times. Pothos is toxic if consumed in large amounts. I use them but I'm careful to make sure they aren't eating it. Try offering her some other greens such as kale, endive and dandelion to munch on. I also feed fruits every now and then. I'm attaching a few blogs below that you might find useful.

Mine eats the pothos and he also eats the boston ferns. I always see him munching. Is boston fern toxic? Its in the safe list with pothos but you say pothos is unsafe if eaten regularly.

Thanks for the help, jannb. While I should be cutting back, is it better to feed her less each day, or the same amount less often? Or is it just most important to meet the quota of 8/12 crickets every 2-3 days, such as in the blog you posted to me the other day? I have the pothos in an open pot in her tank, but I'm not sure if it's too crowded for her to lay in. Is there a rule of thumb for open space-plant ratio? Thanks a bunch for all the help.

pothos is toxic??... not good to hear. i have a ficus, umbrellas, and pothos in the cage, and he eats the pothos almost daily, it seems to be his fav. hes been eating on it for weeks now and there hasn't been any problems.. he won't eat anything else besides live feeders

My female veiled chameleons in particular would strip pothos plants in their cages bare of leaves and never had any health issues from it....so I doubt that its toxic.
