OMG baby jackson's suprise

So i was starting to cool on my chameleons and thinking about reducing my crew to 2 till this AM i went to feed my chameleons and my female Jacksons cage had 7 yes 7 small creatures crawling in it.

Boy am I clueless i had no idea she was pregnant. I have not owned a male jackson since 2 months before i bought her. Purchased may 18th from cleveland reptile show.

so i have many questions?

First they are all having a great time crawling on a medium ficus in a 18 x 18x 36 inch cage. Should i move her or them. her cage has all the fixings including a herpmist nozzle, lights and healthy plans and vines a plenty

what to feed them. I believe they were born this am but did not check her cage after 8am yesterday till 12 today. i do not have appropriate food and my local supplier is out of pinheads till tomorrow PM.
We have had an accidental infestation of fruit flies from feeding our mantis. They are all over my kitchen and despite my wifes best effort. we never use chemicals in our kitchen and she has used fruit traps and apple cider vinegar to attract them......do i dare feed them these. it would be easy to just bring them up and nature would do its thing

Update 1

well i found a brand new unassembled bay cage i bought 6 months ago its 15x15x18 tall, the plant they were on was moved to that.
still unsure about food. Any ideas

also could use standard temps, humidity (guesing 75+) and any pearls from those who survived jackson xantholphus babies

I would keep them around 70 if possible. I do 4 heavy misting a day or more with them. Go get some Fruit Flies or order some pinheads. But I allways start montanes out on FF. Good Luck

Oh yea if you keep them at 70 make sure you have a basking bulb for them around a 25-40w

I use a 25 watt basking bulb in that size cage. Mine are doing great! About 5 months old now!

In the mean time put some big pieces of ripe fruit in the cage and fruitflies will come by themselves. Congrats, they are so cute!

Thanks for all the advice.

I just met Rebecca from Mantisplace.com (she lives about 40 minutes from me) and got 3 cultures of fruit flies.

At least 4 are definitely eating others seem interested. getting piheads tomorrow

Great, glad you got some cultures. I've gotten BB flies from Rebecca at Mantisplace.com, she's a good source and friendly too. You should still put fruit in the cage and the fruitflies will hang out there for a steady food supply. Just place some low hanging branches or sticks close to the fruit so they can cruise on down there for a meal. Good luck, babies are fun!

jacksons are a live bearing species. along with a few other chameleons.

no eggs for me to ruin

My female took all the work out of incubating the "eggs". all i had to do was stumble across some large "bugs" in her cage and proceed to spend the next 6 hours in a panic trying to get the babies a place to stay LOL

stick to lower temps, fruit flys, and plenty of humidity.

if you can get them to 5 months you should be lookin good.
