Online Crickets?

Hello,

I've been buying crickets from Petco, and I've been encouraged not to buy them anymore due to not caring for their crickets well. I've been doing research, and I came up with two very popular companies. I was wondering which of the two are probably the best to go with.

Flukers vs. Armstrong crickets?

On the other hand, if you have other companies that have treated you well too. I'd like to know. Thanks!

I know the kammers like Armstrong, I believe they are achita domesticus, correct me if I'm wrong... I personally prefer banded crickets though. They save a lot on money and maintenance because they don't die as easy. They gutload better IMO and never seem to smell at all. Their only drawback is they survive a little too well and can stay alive if they get out for a long time. I haven't experienced as much noise with them though. They are also hard to catch and jump higher, but tend to be calm unless provoked.

Ghanns is my favorite followed by josh's frogs
Both being good clean sources, but I like how ghanns send some nice egg flats with the crickets and are incredibly clean IME.

I have used, and recommend Gahn's, too! I have had wonderful success with them. Get an XL cricket keeper and you can easily house 250+ 1/2" crickets.

I bought other insects from Rainbow Mealworms but not crickets. I liked them. They sell 200 crickets for $4.50, $10.50 for 500, $16.50 for 1000. I think crickets need to be over night shipped, that will cost you. If you have a locally owned pet shop (or maybe a bait shop???) they may be able to order you crickets for less than you can have them shipped.

I just like to pay for a good clean source, crickets carry so many nasty things due to huge dirty crickert farma.

Ghanns is good. I get about 6000 crickets from them a month and have almost zero death. Last shipment even had delays none showed up dead. Like someone else said, if they escape. They don't just die. I have quite a few crickets that I drop on the floor every morning in my chameleon room that make their way into the house. I'm always rushed and some always make their way to the floor and not the cage... My two cats were thrilled for a while but now they just stare at them and aren't killing them anymore.
