Only eating one food

I know this topic is covered a little bit but all the answers I can find are related to specific situations and mine is a little specific too. My chameleon was acting a little weird trying to be as close to the uvb as he can. I’ve had to make some modifications so he is not so close to it. He shed the next day but only on his head and upper back. The day he started shedding (2 days ago) he did not want to eat at all. And yesterday he had 7 black soldier fly larvae and a few Dubia roaches. (Can’t remember how many). I offered horn worms and he did not want them. today all he wants to eat is Dubia roaches. I feel lucky that he is eating those but I’ll offer the larvae or horn worms and he won’t take it but as soon as he sees a Dubia he eats it right away. I’m mostly concerned about what to do to get him to eat other things. Do I just need to wait while letting him eat what he wants and keep offering the other food or to pull back with the Dubia and let him get hungry while I offer other bugs. Maybe something else? Also the sudden obsession with the uvb gets me a little concerned would he want to be by it because he is not getting proper uvb because it’s not putting off what it should? The light is probably 2 weeks old. Also the partial shed it a little weird he is 4-5 months old.
