Love the eye turrets too!

I had never seen an orange like him before I bought him. I had seen pictures of oranges @GCash had, but never one in the flesh. He is breath taking. He was displaying for a female in that picture, but even just relaxed and chilling in his cage he is a really rich, vibrant orange with a neon green body. The picture below was taken by the importer as they unboxed him at import after 6 days in a bag during transit. He's just all around better colored than he was the day of import, but this is basically his normal every day relaxed colors--whiter white patches, deeper orange and brighter greens. I don't know if you can see, but he has a lot of exposed bone on his sail fin and as expected, they have abscessed. It seems to be under control--the vet is really happy with everything--and I did get a breeding with my long-term captive Giselle who has produced several orange babies for me so I am hoping for a lot of oranges in about five months. I just hope the stress of breeding doesn't compromise his immune system and the infections he has nicely walled off don't rear up and kill him. It's a kind of damned if you do and damned if you don't--I need his genetics but getting them might kill him. Plus, I don't know how old he is--he might be really old.
