Organic or Not Organic Soil

I am looking for input of what you are using for soil for the plants for your chameleons. I am using organic soil and I seem to have a lot of flying bugs in my house and couple of my plants had millipedes. I have since re-potted the plants, but is this normal to have have bugs in the plants?

Maybe the bugs were from the original pot and soil they were in? Doesn't sound to me to see bugs and such in organic, or even non-organic soil. When I re-pot, I get pretty aggressive on the removal of the old soil. I really do this to stimulate new root growth. If the plant is REALLY root bound, I'll get out the turbo charged scissors and just start clipping vertically.

It's more then possible your soil is the cause of your insect problems. If your worried about the bugs your seeing you could always bake the soil you bought in the oven for a few hours to kill anything that might be living in it. Let it cool and remoisten it before repotting the plant.
