My Nosy Be panther is out 24/7, for now until the temps start dropping. Should I be dusting his food?. I feed him Crickets, Silkworms and Dubai roaches... I mix it up and give him a bit of all 3 every day. Should I be still dusting them?. Or should I start when I bring him indoors?.

I stick to the regular schedule of Ca 2-3 times a week. Multivitamins every two weeks. Feed every type of prey he will eat, and spare no expense with gutloads. I use organic spring mix salad, bug burger, alfalfa, watercress, escarole, kale, oranges, yeast, bee pollen, bran flakes, etc... I vary gutloads as much as possible.

I second junglefries. ALWAYS supplement with calcium, whether its inside or outside. You don't need calcium D3 if he's in the sun already getting plenty of sun (nice natural vitamin D). Kudos for keeping your guy outside. I'm pretty sure they REALLY like that.

I think a lot of people don't realize how important it is sometimes to switch up the diet a little bit by gutloading with various different veggies and fruits. If you think about it though, we as human beings should also be ingesting some good healthy foods like that.

So it's really like you're sharing some of your meal with them, which I think can help you relate to your chameleon. Believe me, you can tell how much better you feel with your health when you eat more fruits and veggies instead of McDonald's. Don't get me wrong, that stuff is delicious but the equivalent in my mind, as well as a lot of other good chameleon owners i'm sure, that is like feeding your chameleon straight crickets, roaches, worms.

I'm so excited to get my Nosy Be at the end of the month
