Took Maynard outside to sun and the wind blew the cage over. The lil plastic piece on the bottom came loose and Maynard is gone! Outside in the backyard!! I've looked high and low for over an hour! It has been about two hours now since I've had a visual! Of all the rotten luck!! Stupid me! Stupid me!!

keep looking hes probaly watchin you look for him is there trees? hopefully hes in a tree in the backyard. he will be easier to see when it gets dark with a portable Qbeam spot light or a good flashlight.. ya just shine it everywhere an the color diff youll be able to spot him, but till it gets dark keep lookin.

Several trees. Some he probably can't climb and others that he can surely climb. Bushes, chairs, grill, fence line, I've checked everywhere! Son of a b!!!

I lost my ambilobe last summer in my backyard too. I found him 10 feet up in a tree. Like Rob said, check the trees!!! :D

I hope not! It's definitely a possibility if there are big birds around your place. Don't lose hope though, keep looking! I looked for hours before I found my cham. ;)

Dang man! I hope you find him! Like Rob said, check around with a flashlight or spotlight if you dont find him by dark

i shared this on some other thread about leaving ur chams home on vacation so im just gonna copy paste it here

"time i went to the beach for a week and my brother was watching them, i had half of my collection outdoors. midway through the week an apparently huge storm comes in and he had to stand outside in the rain trying to batten down and hold up like 6 or 8 cages in the middle of this storm.

ahah i remember comming home and half of them were deformed and a couple were being held down by fairly large rocks and logs.

anyways so then it takes him like 2 more days to realize or admit, one of my male panthers had escaped. and then later that day a neighbor of mine a few streets away, old hippie dude that is legally blind, called him up (he knew his number becuase he repaired his guitar) and told him he caught his bothers lizard. being completely oblivious to the fact that i had lost one and having only know i owned lizards because he saw me "walking my alligator" (savannah monitor btw)

the panther was apparently walking along the power lines disappeared into his trees and the miraculously reappeared on his fence. so he snatched it up and threw it in a bucket. i am DAMN lucky that guy found him, pretty good at spotting chameleons for a blind guy."

so seriously check the fences and powerlines.

good luck with the flashlight. he should show up pretty bright.

you might want to set up a shoplight out there too. if hes anywhere in the area he may notice it and the bugs it attracts

Oh My Goodness

omg I wish you luck if I lived closer I would help you look. I hope you find him. and Like everyone else said the flash Light at night will be the best bet. check high and Low and hope for the best. I hope you find it safe and sound! Good Luck. all my fingers are crossed
