Here are some pics over the last month of our 3-4 month old Panther Cosmo. I was told male but I wanted to confirm as Cosmo got older.

Any guess and/or insight is appreciated!

So I sent pics to the breeder and they say they are now not 100% sure Cosmo is a boy (they gave us the first of the hatch that they were the most sure of being male). We bought Cosmo on December 10th and she says he was 2-3 months old (maybe closer to 2 months based on the size).

The breeder says male hatch mates she has have color and definite hemipenal bulges, but there are still some they are less certain about as well… I’m nervous now as our family (my three boys) really wanted a male for reasons others want males, I’m sure. Plus the lower life expectancy and dealing with laying eggs wasn’t something we felt up for.

The breeder says if Cosmo ends up being female we can switch for a male hatch mate or they will give us a male hatch mate if we’re up for having two. It would break my heart to switch if she were a girl but I KNOW my boys will want a male. So that means we may end up with two but I’m not super excited about the set up costs (cages lights plants humidifier etc) and space for two. So I really hope Cosmo is a boy and hope for more honest opinions from you guys 😊
