Current Problem
My Chameleon has gone from eating daily to eating nothing at all. He has eaten nothing in the last 4 days. His last meal consisted of 4x wax worms and prior to that he ate only two crickets all week. Why the change in appetite?
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon
Male Panther
9 months old
Had him since he was 6 months old
Handling
Every day. He will literally run to the front of the enclosure when he sees me with his arms waving waiting for me to open the door so he can run up my arm. I never put my hand into the enclosure to pick him up, I always let him come to me.
Feeding
Crickets - Carrots, Potatoe, Water Cress & Bug Grub (Prorep Product - dry diet high in calcuim & protein)
Locusts - Carrots, Potatoe, Water Cress & Bug Grub (Prorep Product - dry diet high in calcuim & protein)
Wax Worms
Meal Worms
Fed 4-5 crickets/locusts every day with wax worms and meal worms as treats a couple of times a week
Supplements
Crickets & Locusts are dusted every meal time with Calcium Plus (Repashy Super Foods)
Watering
Mist King watering system for 20sec 3x a day (this has only been in operation for 4 weeks and wonder if this change has upset him? prior to this I use to manually water the live plants and provided a dripper for drinking)
Fogger for 10mins 3x a day (use this to help maintain humidity)
Occassionaly see him drink and always has a white sac in his droppings
Last dropping was seen 3 days ago and looked normal dark brown with white urine sac but overall the dropping was much smaller than usual
He has never been tested for parasites
History
He has always been very active in his enclosure and out of his enclosure and this hasn't changed.
Noticed yesterday he looked like he was trying to chew/bite the end of one of the branches in his enclosure - not sure what this is all about?
