Panther Chameleon Morphs

I've had veiled chameleons for years and want to keep adding and get into different species for my collection. I'm just want to know about the different morphs/colors of the panther chameleon and if there is a actual difference between them.

I don't believe the different panthers are really considered morphs. The different colors depend on what area of Madagascar that panther came from and the different colors are named after the nearest town. Here is a better explanation http://www.chameleoncompany.com/Locales.html

The different "morphs" are from different areas of Madagascar and named for their respective areas. Paper out a year or so ago about them being diverging species based on a DNA study I believe, I haven't heard any follow up to that study since and they are still widely recognized as one species furcifur pardalis. The different locales have been interbred in the hobby partially from accidents due to mislabeled females but most breeders focus on keeping lines pure to the specific locales. Some breeders are experimenting with mixing the locales and clutches come up time to time, the Kammers "tour of Madagascar" animals have some amazing colors and it's hard to believe some siblings are related. A few members have threads on these offspring in the photo section currently.
