Panther Eating

Leo's Mummy

New Member
I've just adopted a year old Panther and i'm not sure how much I should be feeding him. At the moment he's been eating about 5 large hoppers per day. I'm sure he'd have more if I put them in. Some people have said to feed him daily and others to feed him every other day. He's moving around well and drinking when misted.

Also have been dusting them at each meal with Arkvits, which is a mix of Nurtobal and ACE High.

Thanks

I feed my chameleon Bort about 8-10 crickets every other day. He's been fed this way since he turned 1 in January and he does just fine. For supplementing, I dust with calcium without D3 almost every feeding and then a multivitamin with D3 once every 2 weeks.

Also, I have no idea about how many grasshoppers would be enough, but they are larger than crickets. However I'd love to try and feed grasshoppers to Bort but I have no idea how to get them

Try to introduce more feeders to your chams. It makes for a healthier chameleon when their food isn't the same every day. I sell hornworms and silkworms on my website www.morifeeders.com. Check us out if you get a chance. Also, look in the market section of chameleon forums for my post because it has coupon codes that you can use!

Thanks for the link, unfortunately I live in the UK and the only feeders we have available here are Locust, Crickets, Mealworms, Wax worms and Roaches. As far as I know he's only ever had Locusts and a few Wax worms.
