panther has eggs

my female panther has never mated so I know eggs won't be fertal, I seen comments about covering housery because the females gets nervious , vet said about a month she should lay but I noticed she's going to laying bin a lot lately, when I walk by she will climb back up to the top so I covered her housery , I sure hope this helps my girl , I worry about her with all these post about egg bound chams ,,,, she shouldn't lay til the end of this month but I'm watching her often ,

It's always and nerve-wracking time. Definitely give her privacy and the right digging materials I use peat and sand. I also put a plant in the laying bin. Hope this helps good luck

thanks and that's what i'm using and I also keep laying bin moist even tho she has maybe 3 weeks to go,,,, she weighted 83 grams last Saturday at the vet :>)

i covered the housery because she kept going to laying bin and wanted to give her privacy ,,,, now she never goes to laying bin ,,, I'm about out of ideas grrrrr

Don't stress so much just keep her hydrated and your feeder nutrition dialed in. Mine usually will go down to the bottom and scope things out a few days before. Once she is really close they typically dig a test hole first then decide on a new spot or a side tunnel to lay in. I've had a few drop clutches overnight so don't be surprised if you see her in the hole when the lights go out.

Once she stops eating you know your close, if they go off feed more than a week without laying I start to get concerned.
thanks for the info,,, she's still eating maybe 5 crickets every day ,,she has gone to laying bin 3 times in 1/2 hour but when cover on housery I never seen her go to bin , keeping a close eye on her , vet said a month before she lays and its been 2 weeks , just a nervous parent I guess LOL

My last clutch she was in the hole for 20 hours if not more. Don't get too discouraged just keep her having privacy
