panther stressed by pug?

Hi all. Do you think that my panther may be experiencing stress when my pug is in the room with me? Even though my pug does not bother the chameleon (never barked at him, never tried getting into the enclosure either. the pug doesn't even seem to care at all)... Right now I am laying down and the pug is laying on me. She is not loud and sometimes plays with a toy in the same room but if its stressing the chameleon I will put an end to that and not let her in the room.

It could be stressing him out, sometimes they get stressed about other animals. He is showing signs of stress? My cat is allowed in the room with my chameleons & I can't tell if it bothers them, but a friend of mine has a chameleon who most definitely dislikes the sight of a cat.

I am not sure if he is showing signs of stress. Most times I just leave him be unless I am misting or feeding him... I mean... he doesnt puff up his neck or anything and it seems like hes more stressed with me being there than the dog. The dog is very well behaved and I havent seen her "checking out" the enclosure at all... she just lays in her little bed and keeps still for the most part.

I guess I am trying to figure out why my little guy seems so shy and scared of me. He was more "outgoing" when I got him but now he just hides so I leave him be... I only have had him out about 4 or 5 times since I had gotten him Sept 28.

I think he is scared of me when I wear my glasses which is all the time around the house... I should see if he is more receptive of me when I have my contacts in.

He's still very new & could still be settling in, & so be a bit frightened of you. You could try hand-feeding so he gets used to your hand in the cage & doesn't see you as a threat. He probably isn't quite used to you yet.

Also, it can be so hard to work out what's scaring them. It can be the most insignificant change in the room!, maybe you could experiment- see how he reacts to different coloured clothes, you without your glasses on, stuff like that. Mine freaked out when I dyed my hair pink.

My chams and bearded dragons dont care if a dog smells them to the point of wet nose on lizard. On the other hand my water dragons and frilled lizards will nail that dog square on the nose if its 1 lizard length away.

I know my chameleon and my greyhound do not give a crap about whether or not either of them is in the room. I did see my chameleon looking at the greyhound today, but not acting stressed at all. All the greyhound cares about is whether or not i have food, lol

My Cham likes my dog... My dog is a small jack russel/beagle mix and when it is in the room my chameleon goes to the bottom of his cage and starts trying to stick his tongue through the screen to eat my dog lol.
