Panther with severely swollen lip

ok so I received a Panther female this morning from a very very good friend of mine. She was perfectly ok when she was put in the box but this is how she came out of box. I know that she was fine to be a 100% fact when she was packed.

She was packed in a soft like snake bag. Not one of those hard bags. I'm guessing it's made out of cotton. Nothing else in the box except newspaper.
Any ideas of what's going on here? Take your best guess if you have too.
Ty in advance.

Looks to be folded or pulled down poor girl. Definitely gotta keep her moist dont know about the complications on reversability of it if it were to dry out definitely should take her to the vet

If her lip still looks like that tomorrow, I'd take her to the vet. Even if it is an injury and not due to infection, it could get infected.

This might sound stupid but did you try flipping it up? Almost looks like it got pushed down and she doesn't have the ability to fix it herself.

Looks like a rub from the bag. I bet it heals up nicely on its own. It looks like the swelling is keeping it inverted--try rolling it back up and keep correcting it.

Thank you all for chiming in!! Anyone else out there with any other opinions or think one these up above is really good opinion of the situation.

It does look like it may be rolled down like mentioned above. I might try to gently see if it would roll back over, my thinking being that the longer the inside of the mouth is exposed the more complications may develop. If it's not rolled over and just swollen your should be able to tell up close in person. I received a pair of chameleons that shipped in bags and one had a slight rub on both sides of the very front of her mouth but nothing extreme as this. Hope she's ok for you nice looking animal otherwise.

Ok. You guys had what I thought was a pretty crazy idea. Lol
But it worked!! I rolled/flipped it up and it stayed and looks totally normal now.
Now the question is how the heck did this happen. I've had so many panthers come and go and this was a first. Never even heard of this before.
Im keeping a close eye on her just incase

She probably rubbed her face while in the bag. When they feel trapped, they can do terrible damage to their faces trying to escape. And, yes, that is exposed bone.

She's coming along. She had an abscess at the tip of her tongue that seems to be better. She gained a ton of weight. Bone still exposed in places but a LOT better.
Glad she's on the mend, and was that due to transportation? ...
I find the way chameleon's and sold and transported in other countries horrendous , in u.k would be animal welfare on our hands !!
