Hey Guys! I am a first time CHAM owner. I have had many other lizards and reptiles, but this is our first cham. We got him from the pet store & they informed us he was male. They also had a lot of other information, that after doing some research, was incorrect. Which isn't surprising.. I just wanted to make sure everything looked OK, to you all. I'm posting some pics of him and his house. Also some close ups of his back feet. I see tarsal spurs, so I'm pretty sure they got the sex part correct. He seems to be doing ok, he's definitely getting bigger! We have had him about 3 1/2 months. He's already shed twice. Here is the info you all will need:

Heat from a 60w light bulb
He has a 5.0 UVB bulb
He eats crickets, super worms and butter worms. He seems to eat a lot.
He gets misted 3 times daily and has a dripper that runs about an hour, twice daily. I see him drinking regularly.
Poop looks great! ;)
We supplement with Calcium w/ no D3 at every feeding, Calcium w/ D3 about twice a month and a multivitamin twice a month.
His cage is made with mesh screens and has had many sticks and things to crawl on and around.

A few weeks ago, he looked a little dehydrated, so we put him in the shower for a bit. On his plant so he could get the mist.. HE LOVED IT SO MUCH. We have been misted more during each session, so I think its taken care of the dehydration. But he LOVES his waterings!

Any info/feedback would be great!! Thanks in advance!

He looks ok.
Your regimen seems to be ok, I would eventually start to add a wider variety of feeders to help diversify his nutrition intake. I would add some horizontal beaches that sturdy for him to feel safe on. My last advise is to look for a vet that has experience with chameleons in your neck of the woods. You will eventually want a fecal exam to monitor for parasites.... Good start though.

I'm not sure if you reported the plant with organic soil and rocks... There is a mixture you would use for drainage and rocks to cover the exposed dirt..

Everything looks pretty good! I would definitely add several horizontal branches throughout the cage though as well. I used thumbtacks on the outside of the cage to hold mine in place. This will give him a good spot to bask under the light (about 8 inches below the light).

Mix in some silkworms, phoenix worms, and hornworms for variety. Starting your own dubia roach colony will help cut back on feeder expenses. Just be certain your cham will eat them before starting one. I have several thousand roaches in my colony, but my panther has shown little to no interest. What are you currently gutloading your crickets and superworms with?

You can get a scale and weight him periodically so you can monitor his growth progress and giving the gutloaded feeders amount accordingly.
