Ok, I am somewhat new to chameleons and have become somewhat obsessed or addicted with them over the past several weeks.
I got some ice cream from cold stone and as I walked through the PETCO next door eating my ice-cream (actually my then girlfriend wanted a beardy so i wanted to check them out) and there they had 6 or 7 2-3 inch veiled chams.
My jaw dropped at the site of them and I've wanted one ever since.
I have been researching non-stop for several weeks about everything I can read on from feeeding, habitat/enclosures, health problems, raising insects, supplies, ect, and as you can see joined these forums.
I was planning on getting a veiled chameleon, but am also drawn to the the panther species as well. Typically veiled are recommended for first time owners, but I think I would rather have a Panther.
I know there are several owners on these boards that own both, is the panther much harder to take care of then the veiled?
I think I can take care of the Panther ok, but it typically isn't recommended - What are the particular details that would allow me to take better care of a panther vs. a veiled?
Thanks
-Mike
