Picking out a winner

I am looking into getting a baby male panther ambilobe and I'm having a hard time picking.
What certain characteristic ie: pattern, colors, ect... should I look for to make sure I get a beauty?

Any suggestions would be helpful

Just decide what colors you want... They are ALL beauties and colors aren't really something you can "plan", though I mean selective breeding obviously makes a difference, but whether or not a particular one will be more likely to be vibrant can't be planned... Just check out the different locales and see which colors fit you best!

Email or call the breeder that has the sire your most interested in. If the person/company gets back to me and has good customer service before the sale generally the same can be said after the sale. Also look for references or ask the breeder for prior customers names and ask them about their exp with that breeder and his/her animals. That way you have some history on the ppl who bred your cham.
