Does anyone have any experience with picky chameleons? My girl can be so frustrating sometimes. Since rescuing her in Dec 2010 I have always hand fed her. she ususlly has a good apetite except for the 4 weeks before laying she decreases the amount of food items she will take. Her wt on Oct19/11 was 120 grams she laid 33 eggs on Dec28/11 and on Jan 5/12 she was 105 grams.
I am unsure of her age, according to the people I got her from she was a year old in Dec 2010... at that time she only weighed 55 grams!and had no history of egg laying yet. (considering she was in as poor of shape as she was its no wonder) Sorry for the long story I guess Im just wondering if it is normal for them to be so finikey. she will eat 30 crickets one day and then refuse to eat at all for a coulple days. Since laying her eggs... and dealing with a minor sand impaction from her egg laying sand, shehasn't been eating more than a couple worms(super) and a couple crickets a day. I have tried to offer her greens but I just have to throw them out she won't eat them. I have also been feeding can silk worms are they ok?
