they can start pretty early-3 months sometimes-but really color up around 1-1.5 years old. Some lean to the green and some take on a turquoise color...and some take on a beautiful baby blue. You can usually tell which way they are going to lean by 6-10 months.

Is there anyway to be sure what their final color will be when their still babies? Or do you have to wait? I would think by knowing the parents you could have a good educated guess.
 
By looking at their lineage it will give you an idea of what they can potentially look like but you will never get a whole clutch that looks like the sire, there will always be variations. Some juveniles show good color early on and some don't and the ones that don't can still look better than the ones that did. It's a crap shoot really, don't give up hope it can take another year for all his color to come in. The guy in my avatar had good color as a juvenile but really got his color after he was a year old.
