I believe they are mildly toxic paticularly inside though. Your cham might not get in there..but if he slipped and dipped his foot in or something I don't know if the fluids might have a toxic affect?

I saw that technically pothos are considered poisonous and so are philodendrons but everyone uses pothos anyway and I have a philodendron too. They considered mildy toxic because it is just their sap/fluid.

That is a really nice plant so I hope you can use it but to be safe get some other large plants that he can chill on a lot. Hibiscus, ficus, schefferella, or they've got real big pothos at my Home Depot..

I wouldn't use philodendrons in my cham's cage. But, that's just me.
I used to have pothos, but no longer using them either. As far as I know, Pothos does not have sap. But, the leaves contains oxalate that blocks your chameleon's intestine to absorb calcium.

So, Pothos can become a nuisance if your chameleon is a leaves chomper.

Ficus is the one that have milky substance.
The sap can irritate your chameleon's skin and eyes.
