Planted enclosure.

Hey :)
In a few days ill be getting a 4x2x2 enclosure and I was thinking about planting this huge ficus I bought instead of keeping it in the pot, just to make it look a little nicer.
Is there anything wrong or different I should know before I set up the cage like this? I know the dirt has to be fertilizer and pesticide free and I know all about Impaction.
I'm asking because I don't really see many cages set up this way.
Any opinions or info would be appriciated :)

their called vivariums, yes their fine and look great i was going to do it but i find it a pain to get the drainage right. your gona need a layer of hydroton at the bottom along with a net to keep the substrate from falling through or getting soaked. Post Pictures when your done

is it going to be an all screen cage?if its in doors you should put a grow light on top of the care to keep you ficus nice and leafy ...post pics...

Personaly I wouldn't, it smells, holds water, and there is nothing stopping your Cham from eating the dirt, keep it in the pot with good drainage setup an it's easy to keep clean an increases the chances of you Cham being nice and healthy
