I was wondering if hostas or english ivy are safe plants
as english ivy will cover anything and hostas seem like a good plant for them to drink off of and they are nice looking

thanks in advance

I do believe that you can use the english ivy, but i do not know much about the other plant.

Not to steal your thread but i'm wondering if any one has experience with english ivy in their cages and if they had any problems with it completely taking over their cages

ive heard that stuff spreads like wildfire, but as long as you keep it trimmed it should work. i dont use it because my veiled and panther are to heavy to grabb it without falling (and im too lazy to fix it so they can)

English ivy is said to be poisonous to humans, sheep, llamas, dogs and cattle - so I dont think I'd risk it if your chameleon tends to eat a lot of plant material.

My mothers dog chews hosta leaves without noticable effect.

so do you guys think the english ivy is safe?
I know the hosta is and I plan on using a few of them in my cage
also where can I get ficus, devels ivy and umbrella trees?
I don't think home depot has any as it is certainly not the season for plants here

Yeah all those are certainly fine i know some people steer away from ficus because their sap can be irritating. I use the imbrella tree and pothos (devils ivy) with no problems

okay sounds good I was planning on having three pothos at the top of the cage so they hand down to make a canopy affect
are there any palm tree like plants that are safe?
