Please Help...Cassie was closing her eyes early this afternoon

Ok so lighting is incorrect. These should not be used on enclosures without a solarmeter 6.5... These are 2 in 1 bulbs they produce a very high output of uvb within the first 2 feet depending on wattage... And your using a very high wattage. But they also produce a lot of heat as well.

So you need a T5HO fixture with the 5.0 or 6% bulb that goes the entire width of your enclosure. These are long linear bulbs... Your basking level would need to be 9 inches below this fixture so she gets the correct levels.

It is hard for me to tell if it is the repashy or if it is the UVB but both can cause these issues.
I will order a new bulb. I also use the 12% for Squirt also....should I change his back to 6% as well?

I’m with Becca on this. I did not realize you were using these lights. I have alway used the reptisun 5.0 (tube style) and a regular household bulb for basking, not the coil kind the old style. If your house is cold she might need a 40 to 60 watt.
I have been listeningto the wrong people. So the basking bulb doesn'thave to be a uva bulb?

Depends on your distance to the branch below the fixture. You would want a 12 inch distance from fixture on top of the screen to the branch with a single bulb T5HO fixture and a 12% bulb. If you use the same fixture with a 6% bulb you want a 9 inch distance to basking branch below it. Both of these and these distances give a 3 UVI at the branch which is where you want them to be.

The location of his bulb is about 13 in from where he is So he should be fine right?

So yes with a 12% arcadia t5ho bulb in a single bulb fixture your uvb will right where it needs to be for Squirt.

So we just need to replace what your using for Cassie. Change her over the the t5ho fixture with bulb. Get the bulb strength for the distance to basking. If you have 12 inches to the branch then you want a 12% for her as well and if you have 9 inches you want the 6% for her. Just remember these are for single bulb fixtures if you get something different it will change your levels so just let me know and I can assist there. :)

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I have been listening to way too many people telling me totally different things.

I will have to get one of those. Should I still take Cassie to the vet? I worry about her getting over stressed?
Can you post pics of her today before I answer that ? I really believe it’s her lights 99.9% think it’s lights/heat . However I would like to see a pic . For the Meter it gives you 100% accuracy . I highly recommend along with a heat gun especially with female . some will tell you Unnecessary but then agin they lose their females before a year and or have clutches of 60+ eggs every 3 or 6 months . That’s is Tremendous on their little body’s .

I have a heat gun and have her basking spot at 83 degrees. Oh my gosh...I don't want her to have that many eggs...I'm so afraid for her and want to do whatever I can to help her.?

Here are a few pictures of her this afternoon.

Fantastic she looks great and eyes open yay . So the changes that have been suggested . Have you started weights on her ? Also what’s her feeding schedule ?
I have lifted her basking light and stopped giving her the rapashy vitamin and only feed her every other day and add calcium. I worry about taking her to the vet and adding more stress than she needs right now. I have ordered the 6% bulb, but it won't be here for 7 to 10 days. I will lift her uva bulb at least 9 inches above her enclosure.
