Please help! Im a new chameleon owner. I have had my baby rudis for about two weeks. He's tiny and has been eating fruit flies and a small cricket every once in awhile. Last night he ate a fruit fly and it looked like he was having trouble swallowing. Then he opened his mouth wide like he was choking and even stuck his tongue out. His tongue looked stiff. We didn't know what to do, so we put him in his home for the night. Tonight he ate again so we thought he was Ok but he just choked again! It was on a tiny fruit fly again. Hes opening his mouth again. Is this normal for babies? What should we do?

My cham will sometimes open his mouth very wide after swallowing. I think its their way of getting it down. No worry. Just make sure all feeders body is no wider then the space between his eyes. Mine also does this mouth stretch first thing in the morning like he's yawning
