Please help! Hard time sexing Panther

Hi everyone. I just picked this one up from the reptile show. The guy said he was a male and very sure of it. I am now to panthers so I'm not too sure what to look for. Any help would be awesome.

I'm not sure about the sex. No experience with Panthers (a little experience with Cougars )
Just curious what your cham is sitting on in your second pic?

When I first got him home I set up a temporary cage until I got his ready. But it's one of those fluckers bamboo things.

The first pic I was a little undecided, but the second pic I say male by the tail base.
