this is what it sounds like to me

she is new, she hasn't become fully acclimated

her basking area is a bit too hot, fine tune to make sure here basking branch won't over heat her

when she gets comfortable in her ability to eat and digest food i think you'll see her calm out a lil bit

until then hydrate her lots

good luck

These questions don't have anything to do with the eating...I don't have an answer for that.

Does she have a place to dig to lay eggs in her cage. These chameleons can produce eggs without having been mated. She is likely old enough to produce eggs.

Is the calcium powder phos.-free?

You said..."5.0 uvb uva tube"...what brand?

its phos free, and its a zoomed or t rex or somthing , i dont have a digging spot yet i didnt she she was old enough shes quite small, even panthers lay infertile ones?? how often does this happen?

You said..."im sorry m'am he he he sorry linda "...no problem...happens all the time! :)

Keep an eye on the little mark on the left side of the lip...it could be the beginning of mouthrot.

She seems to have a slight gular edema...common in panthers when they are gravid...or if oversupplemented.

The panthers can lay several clutches of eggs a year.

Does she ever exhibit dark coloration with bright orangey markings? How long is her body (nose to vent)?

i was told that couldbe mouth rot, is it possible to be scars like the ones on her head, how serious is mouth rot and can it wait alike a week or 2 to be treated??? she doesent seem to have anythign wrong when she opens her mouth it doesent look rotten or anything just looks like a scar kinda

whats gular edema??? and how can i tell if shes over supplimented, what suppliment plan would you put her on??? how manny days calcium and d3 and vit a???

she is about 5-6ish inches and she has been kinda dark blackish kinda brownish but just the last few days and not all the tim not much orange tho

thanks so much for your help!!!

Mouth rot can progress really quickly or it can move slowly..but if its there it needs to be cleaned out properly and the chameleon will likely have to be put on antibiotics.

Dark brown with orangey markings will mean that she is non-receptive and carrying eggs.

The gular area is the chin area. It can become swollen if the chameleon is oversupplemented, but panther females are "prone" to it when gravid (pregnant, carrying eggs). I dust with a phos.-free calcium powder at most feedings. This helps to make up for the poor ratio of calcium to phos. found in most of the feeder insects we use.

I dust lightly with a vitamin powder with a beta carotene source of vitamin A. The beta carotene won't build up in the system like preformed can. Some people give a little preformed once in a while.

I also dust twice a month lightly with a phos.-free calcium/D3 powder.

You need to look at what you are feeding the insects and your supplements to see if you are oversupplementing...particularly look at the preformed vitamin A.

thats what i do i use the vit a beta carotene twice a month and the d3 twice a month, and phos free calcium most days through the week, so i should put some sand in there?? and i will take her to the vet this week!
