PLEASE HELP!! RED EYES! CHAM FELL!

I would possibly consider going to a different vet though since your vet didn't catch it at all and thought they were horns... If your vet has any reptile experience it is obvious they don't have very much experience with chameleons at all and I would be worried about that. Treating anything wrong can cause just as much damage as an illness especially a chameleon. A lot of vets who don't at least have some experience with chameleons don't do well when treating them at all, because they are the most specialized reptile I have ever seen (though there could be more) and dealing with a partially blind to completely blind chameleon, which could happen To her if she's not treated correctly, is like the least fun thing to do especially if they are still relatively young. Depending how they adapt to being blind some chameleons have relatively good quality of life and I keep them in my care, however of they don't adapt well I put them down. I don't view this as bad, in my opinion chameleons are pretty much solely dependant on their eye sight to live successfully on their own. They have almost no hearing, and very little taste, no sense of smell that would be considered useful. So when they are blind they are completely dependent on their keeper. Just keep this in mind when thinking about a good vet.

i'll be sure to discuss it with her vet before proceeding with him! do you by any chance remember how much it cost you?

I hope you find another vet, one who recognizes a pretty classic presentation of a severe sinus infection.

You cannot compare costs from one part of the country to another. They are very different and dictated by the supply and demand of the region.
